Is There An Ideal Breast Size for Women?

Today, breast augmentation solutions, surgical or otherwise, are more popular than ever - a phenomenon which raises an important question: is there an ideal breast size for women? In other words, is there an ideal size we should be all striving to achieve or are there other esthetic and emotional aspects that are considered when judging breasts?

As one of the most conspicuous parts of the female body, the breast, its size and shape play an important role in the development of a woman's personality and her image about herself. Though a woman's breast size is largely determined by genetic factors, many women dissatisfied with their breasts are permanently in the pursuit of the method that will make their breasts look perfect - or look in a way that they consider perfect. But what is, indeed, the aspect that determines how attractive a woman's breasts really are?

According to scientific studies, there is no such thing as an ideal size for the female breast. When deciding whether a woman's appearance is attractive or not, the key factor mentioned by the majority of the men surveyed was not the size, but the proportion. If the ratio between the breast size and the body frame generates a harmonious appearance, if the waist to hip ratio of the frame is complemented by the size of the bust line, the woman is usually considered attractive. The size of the rib cage is also important: a very thin band width combined with a large cup size will look disproportionate and, therefore, unattractive.

There is one more aspect that determines whether a woman's breast size is ideal for her, and that is comfort. This usually becomes an issue if the breast is too large, because wearing that entire load on the front of the body will strain the back, causing backaches, in extreme cases even hernia. In these cases, it is highly recommended to adjust the patient's breast size by diminishing it in order to avoid further problems of the spine.

If proportion is what really matters and there is no one-size-fits-all definition for the ideal breast size, then ladies should stop modifying their breast sizes surgically and they should start looking for ways to have a healthy, proportionate body. Surgical breast augmentation or other, less invasive breast enlargement programs and pills should not be eliminated altogether, but the focus should shift from changing our breast sizes to the maximum level possible to having a harmoniously shaped, curvy body and breast. Plastic surgery and breast enhancement procedures can be part of achieving this objective, but you must always weigh your options and consider all the pros and cons of such procedures.

Men are attracted to the general appearance of women; they do not evaluate body parts separately, so as long as a woman is fit, healthy and confident, her breasts are just parts of the whole picture. If the inner qualities and the personality of the woman are attractive and her body is proportionate, she will most probably be very much appreciated by men.
